Multilingual Chicago is now offering Parents and Tots and Kids 3-5 Spanish classes at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. Children will learn Spanish vocabulary during an experiential, interactive class through songs, games and laughter! Children will read a thematic book together and then do fun hands-on crafts or sing songs relating to the day’s theme.

The University of Miami Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, with the support of the Cultural Services of the French Consulate in Miami, is holding the “Literary Translation Conference” November 18th, 2011.
Two important French literary figures will participate in this conference: author Jean-Christophe Valtat, who has the distinction of writing both in French and in English, and the renowned translator Brice Matthieussent, director of collections at the French publishing house: éditions Christian Bourgois, who has translated many American authors such as Jim Harrison.
