Ya Maka My Weekend starts Friday, August 10, 2012 at 5 p.m. and Saturday, August 11, 2012 at noon. Ya Maka My Weekend is a signature festival for The District that was born in 1992. Reggae bands, steel drums, and beach music fill the streets. This arts & cultural event also features Caribbean-style food, an open air marketplace, island activities for kids, and a sand beach.

Saturday, August 11, 2012 at noon.
Where: Great River Plaza, 2nd Avenue between 17th & 19th Streets, in Downtown Rock Island, Illinois
Admission is for a one or two day ticket children 12 and under are free.
