This popular roving festival takes place outdoors in spectacular settings and in select theaters and venues in the Wine Country just North of the Golden Gate Bridge.
The festival presents features, documentaries, shorts and animation in eight categories: World Cinema, Latin Cinema, US Cinema, The Arts in Film™ (films about music, dance and the arts,) Cinema of Conscience™ (films of social issues,)Music In Film, Food On Film and Eco Cinema.

The 26TH Annual Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF) takes you on a vacation from ordinary film October 21, – November 11, 2011, as the fest reels out over 100 entertaining new features, documentaries, and shorts from around the globe. Filmmakers and celebrities create an aura of excitement around the cinematic event as they walk the red carpet at Hollywood style premieres, chat with audiences at screenings and attend parties and gatherings, along with free seminars, outdoor screenings, and films for kids.

The ninth edition of the MoMA’s International Film Preservation Festival, To Save and Project, will feature rediscoveries and all-time classics of world cinema. Over 35 films will be screened during the festival – virtually all New York premieres – representing 14 countries. On the program, films by French directors Louis Malle, Georges Méliès, Jean Rouch, André Sauvage, Marcel Carné and French-Chilean filmmaker Raúl Ruiz.
One of the many highlights of this year’s festival is a stunning, hand-colored version of Georges Méliès 1902 Trip to the Moon that will be presented by the restoration artist, Serge Bromberg, on November 11.
