WHITE WAVE announces its 6th Annual WAVE RISING SERIES, New York City’s only rising contemporary dancemakers festival, giving 24 companies rare opportunities to present full-length programs in the dance capital of the world. The SERIES spotlights talented dancemakers from all across the United States and beyond. Channel 13 Sunday Arts has praised the SERIES, highlighting it as a “renowned” production featuring an “eclectic range of dance companies.” The New York Times stated that the SERIES presents “a broad variety of work. LiMe Film Fest is an event dedicated to the presentation of short films, new media workshops, recorded live performances and a short film making contest that will be held in Little Village (”La Villita”). Their primary intent is to offer an open platform to the community, particularly the youth in junior high and high school. Nearly twenty films, mixed with panel discussions and other events mean a stacked lineup.
