Part food event, part summer party, Chinatown Summer Nights offers Los Angeles a truly unique experience outside of the usual summer festival fare. Attendees will get a chance to taste the many culinary offerings of Chinatown through live coking demonstrations executed by Chinatown’s top chefs, eat at local restaurants serving authentic Chinese and Asian cuisine and nosh on LA’s best gourmet food trucks. KCRW DJs will be performing under the neon-lit courtyard of Central Plaza for those wanting to dance their heart out on the massive outdoor dance floor. Attendees can also experience large-scale, outdoor video projections; take part in hands-on, Chinese cultural activities, and watch some of the best Chinese acts outside of Cirque du Soleil perform.

The “Grand Bazaar Street Festival” will showcase the Anatolian Civilizations, Turkic & Balkan cuisines, cultures and traditions, and modern Turkey to all New Yorkers. The festivities will happen on West 41st Street between Bryant Park and Broadway on Sunday, September 25th 2011. The festival is organized by the Turkish Cultural Center New York and supported by TABID, the Turkish-American Business Improvement & Development Council.
During the festival, New Yorkers will experience the Turkish hospitality as they walk through custom-designed world famous Grand Bazaar booths and an Istanbul panorama; experience the devotion of Whirling Dervishes; enjoy the finest Turkic Folklore performances; explore Turkish arts and crafts; and taste a variety of Turkish cuisines.

First held in 1961, the Sakura Matsuri – Japanese Street Festival is now the largest one-day exhibition of Japanese culture in the United States.
Stretching for nearly one mile through the streets of downtown Washington DC, from near the White House to FBI headquarters, the Sakura Matsuri is held each spring as the climax of the two-week National Cherry Blos som Festival. On good weather days, it has drawn over 140,000 visitors in 7 hours.
The Sakura Matsuri is a family-friendly festival. There are over 15 vendors of Japanese food, two beer gardens, 30 exhibitors of Japanese arts and culture, 15 vendors of Japanese products, and over 30 hours of live performances on five stages, including traditional and popular Japanese music and dance and martial arts demonstrations.

This year marks the 50th Japanese Street Festival in Washington, DC. It will take place on Saturday, April 10, 2009 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. after the Cherry Blossom Festival parade. The motto of the festival is all things Japanese. From sushi to origami to jujitsu, sumo and sake, festival goers will imbibe the Japanese culture. There will be traditional dances, the dramatic taiko drums, Japanese arts and crafts , Anime (Japanese animation), manga (Japanese comics), and J-Pop music.
This year’s Matsuri will be the biggest ever, on Pennsylvania Avenue from 14th Street in the west to 10th Street on the east —and on 12th Street from Pennsylvania southward to Constitution Avenue.

Each year, Bastille Day on 60th Street brings the best of France to New York for an afternoon of activities and delights for the entire family. Kids can play a round of pétanque or get their faces painted at the Kids Corner booth.
