Bay Area PAAC representative Fred Wong, along with Derrick Dang, would like to invite you to a PAAC social event, Bowling With the Stars on Thursday, March 22, 2012. This will be a great networking opportunity and team building experience with lots of food, games and prizes! Friends & family of PAAC members and non-members are welcome. Enjoy a night of bowling, great company, good food & lots of fun.
Looking for at least 40 people or more to sign up for this bowling tournament. Depending on the number of people we have committed to this PAAC social event, we’ll have 8 teams or more consisting of 5 to 6 members. Each team will play other teams in a tournament to determine the champion of Bowling With the Stars. The winning team will receive a prize.

Dragons Invade Turkey Lake
Mar 31 (Sat) 9am – 3pm. Orlando Dragon Boat Challenge at Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake. This venue is considered one of Florida’s best water sport venues and while national rowing regatta events have been held on the lake since the 1970s, this will be the first time that the lake will welcome the dragons! Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake is a great place for the whole family to spend the day, bring a picnic and enjoy the Spring outdoors in Florida.
Pan Am Dragon Boat, the event organizer, is offering inaugural pricing of 50% off in 2012. Entry is as low as $18 per person ($400 per team). All the equipment is provided for the teams, as well as race day instruction.

The Little Italy Association and the organizers of Gran Fondo San Diego are proud to host one of San Diego’s premier bicycle rides that starts in San Diego’s Little Italy and crosses over the Coronado Bridge and takes riders through the many terrains of San Diego. The 2012 Long Beach Dragon Boat Festival will be held at Marine Stadium in Long Beach on July 28 – July 29, 2012.
A weekend of races in magnificently-decorated canoes/Dragon Boats showcasing pageantry, diversity and sportsmanship from across the globe and as well as an on-shore festival. In addition to hosting one of the largest dragon boat competitions in California, there will be Chinese traditional art demonstrations, Chinese Acrobats, traditional dance, hip hop music and martial arts performances.

On May 5, 1862, 4,000 Mexican soldiers held off 8,000 French and allied troops bent on re-establishing their presence in the New World. Recognition of the Mexican victory is widely celebrated in the United States. In Chandler, the celebration is highlighted with the famous Chihuahua Races and the crowning of the King and Queen of Chihuahuas. In addition to the wildly entertaining Chihuahua Races, there will be plenty of music, food and dancing at this family event.
The annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration honors the Hispanic community’s many contributions to the City of Chandler. The festival also features the popular Chihuahua Races and the crowning of the King and Queen Chihuahua.

12th Annual Colorado Dragon Boat Festival is July 21-22, 2012 at Sloan’s Lake Park!
The Colorado Dragon Boat Festival (CDBF) is a free family-friendly festival highlighting Colorado’s rich Asian Pacific American heritage at Sloan’s Lake Park in northwest Denver. A window to the Pan Asian world, this diverse festival is the only one of its kind in the United States. It showcases an array of traditional and contemporary performing arts, cultural customs, cuisine and a marketplace of unique and hard-to-find arts, crafts and vendors, in addition to two days of action packed dragon boat racing.

This year, we have over 120 dragon boat teams and 3,500 dragon boat paddlers racing our 500 and 300 meter course.
