The 11th Annual Haitian Independence Day Gala is organized by the Haitian-Americans United, Inc. (H.A.U.) to celebrate the victory of the 1791 Haitian Slave Revolution, to honor Haiti’ s ancestors and commemorate the 208th anniversary of the Proclamation of Haiti’s Independence.
H.A.U. will honor at the gala, U.S. Senator John F. Kerry, the Britney Gengel’s family, Randolph for Haiti and the Haitian Coalition of Somerville.
The Keynote Speaker is Karen Keating Ansara, Co-Founder of the Haitian Fund at the Boston Foundation. Several Haitian artists and groups will perform for the occasion.
