Seattle’s fall tradition, the Fremont Oktoberfest from September 23 to 25, is fun for everyone from the creative kids to the fair food foodie. In the free Village area, located just outside the entrance to the Fremont Oktoberfest Tasting Garden, guests can also groove to music on the Village Stage, shop the Village Market, or grab a pint in the Pyramid Breweries Village Garden.
In the Kids’ Area, young ones and their parents can feed their need for speed by racing decorated veggies in the Zucchini 500, bowl with sugar pumpkins, get their faces painted, or creatively carve pumpkins. For even more playful pumpkin fun, the Oktoberfest Village Stage will brew up non-stop entertainment including the infamous Texas Chainsaw Pumpkin Carving contest.

2012 Sukiyaki Dinner
Historic Japanese Baptist Church will hold its annual Sukiyaki Dinner on Saturday, April 28th. Take out (including curbside service) from 2:00 PM to 7:00PM. Dine in service from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Come and peruse the bake and craft sale tables along with an ikebana display. At 7:00 PM the free Cultural Program begins. Prices are $12.00 for adults, $8.00 for children age 10 and under.
