Halfway between dance, performance and ritual,Monstruo is an emotional and subtle synthesis that speaks to us from the depths of the human being and the earth.
Performed by the company INTEGRO, Monstruo is a symbolic effort halfway between dance, performance and ritual, a subtle underground social critique: an offering that ultimately takes us to the depths of our being on earth; a poignant and moving synthesis. A creative nucleus founded by Oscar Naters in 1984 in Lima, Peru, INTEGRO has always been oriented towards experimentalism and integration of the arts.
Performers are Alejandro Tosatti (Diquis Tiquis – Costa Rica) and Ana Zavala (Integro-Perú). Music by Pauchi Sasaki – Omar Lavalle. Mise en scène: Oscar Naters.

During this four-part introduction to Buddhism, participants will learn about the basic tenets of the religious practice as demonstrated through art, sacred objects, and rituals. Special emphasis will be given to the life of the Buddha, Buddhist communities, and the central concepts of compassion and wisdom as they are communicated in the rich visual language of Buddhist art and the Rubin Museum’s collection.
