Revolution reggae music – edgy, raw, natural, roots… They are Rootz Underground. That is their sound.
Many influences have borne their ‘rootz’, including their homeland Jamaica – birthplace of Rastafari and other radical movements, JAH – creator of all things, family, the earth in all its glory, the revolutionary 70′s, Dub and Roots Reggae music.
The revolution that is Rootz Underground began in 2000 when the band members, whose lives had crossed paths sometime or another from childhood, linked their individual musical talents in search of forming one solid unit. The Rootz Underground revolution emerged on the scene in a blaze of high-energy performances and conscious lyrics.

It all started in 1959 with a Grand Opening Celebration of the Bavarian style addition to Fischer’s Hotel on Main Street. Back then “Tiny” & Dorothy Zehnder gambled on “Bavarianizing” their restaurant and re-naming it Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn. Several years later the event out-grew the parking of the restaurants.
