Throckmorton Fine Art is pleased to offer an exhibit that both commemorates and compliments the publication of a major work in Latin American photography, Timeless Mexico: The Photographs of Hugo Brehme.
This will be the first exhibit of Brehme’s photography in the United States. The exhibit will also include a sprinkling of work by some of his noted contemporaries in Mexico: Paul Strand, Gordon Abbott, Anton Bruehl, Laura Gilpin, Manuel Álvarez Bravo, Edward Weston, and Tina Modotti. In total, thirty-eight photographs from this formative era in Mexican photography will be exhibited.
