KWANZAA 2011! is a vibrant celebration that honors the seven principles of Kwanzaa with performances of song, dance, and spoken word and an international marketplace. This year’s event will feature storyteller Linda Humes as master of ceremonies, the dynamic African-Caribbean performing group Something Positive, Inc., and other exciting presenters.

Drum, Dance, Listen and Learn in OVER 100 Performances and PARTICIPATORY Workshops from the world music traditions of Africa, Asia, Cuba, Brazil, India, America, the Middle East, and more. Located at Seattle Center, Seattle, WA, admission is FREE to all events.
The 19th Annual Festival includes: Workshops and performances for youth and adults, Friday Night Celebration Performance Show, Saturday Night Dance Party, and Community Closing Sunday.

The National Asian Heritage Festival -Fiesta Asia is a street fair held in Washington, DC in celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. The event showcases Asian art and culture with a wide array of activities including live performances by musicians, vocalists and performance artists, Pan-Asian cuisine, martial arts and lion dance demonstration, a multicultural marketplace, cultural displays and interactive activities.

12th Annual Colorado Dragon Boat Festival is July 21-22, 2012 at Sloan’s Lake Park!
The Colorado Dragon Boat Festival (CDBF) is a free family-friendly festival highlighting Colorado’s rich Asian Pacific American heritage at Sloan’s Lake Park in northwest Denver. A window to the Pan Asian world, this diverse festival is the only one of its kind in the United States. It showcases an array of traditional and contemporary performing arts, cultural customs, cuisine and a marketplace of unique and hard-to-find arts, crafts and vendors, in addition to two days of action packed dragon boat racing.
