The festival brings together seven days of Italian movies, special film events, an opening gala and a final dinner.
The films feature the stars and directors of contemporary Italian films as well as some Italian film classics. Each year, the festival opens with a special gala that includes Italian food, wine and a special movie. And every year, the festival closes with the same on its final day.

The Nevada County Italian Festival is run by a volunteer staff of ten officers and ten committee members and dozens of volunteers donating their time, energy and labor twelve months of the year for the annual event. The Little Italy Association is proud to present the 10th Annual Little Italy Carnevale. This year the Little Italy Carnevale will be held on Saturday, February 9th from 5:00pm to 9:00pm on India Street between W. Fir and W. Cedar Streets with the main stage on W. Date Street. Last year, Carnevale drew over 12,000 attendees with people dressed in traditional Venetian Carnevale regalia.
This event mirrors Carnevale in Venice with various vignettes of entertainment and great Italian food!
