The Federation of Hellenic Societies of Greater New York organizes the annual Greek Independence Day Parade in New York City every April on Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue. Since 1938 this annual celebration of Hellenic identity, through which all Hellenes can express and promote their culture and achievements to the world, commemorates the 187th Anniversary of Greek Declaration of Independence, March 25th 1821, and has become a New York City traditional event.

The annual Cinco de Mayo Festival is the premiere community fund raising event organized and conducted by the Central Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in the city of Manteca. Funds raised from this festive event are used throughout the year for Chamber programs, such as, developing and providing local Hispanic and non-Hispanic businesses with tools, support and advocacy to help them build a stronger business future.
This year the Cinco Festival returns to Downtown Manteca–after two years of rebuilding by the City, Library Park is once again available for the Festival. The Festival will include the same festive elements as last year but will be located in a cool setting amongst trees and grass and on the adjoining streets.
