After a fifteen year hiatus, Bay Area Hungarians again worked together to organize a very successful Hungarian Day at Belmont’âs Twin Pines Park. The event last year was a dynamic presentation of colorful Hungarian culture, live music, arts, history, and cuisine. Over 1,200 tickets were sold and visitors kept coming between 11:30 in the morning and the early evening. They enjoyed a variety of wonderful Hungarian food and drinks, exciting entertainment, non-stop music and dancing, intricate crafts, displays of local artisans, and a kids’ corner. March 16, 2013 This year’s parade promises to be a festival of color, music and fun featuring marching bands from area high schools, string bands, Irish step dancers, bagpipers and floats. House Decorating/Porch Party Contest – March 17, 2013: The 2013 Allentown St. Patrick’s Parade Committee, Inc. has designed a house decorating/ porch party contest to be judged the day of the Parade. Prizes will be awarded to the “best porch party” and “best decorated house” along the Parade route. The Parade route will form at the fairgrounds track near the Liberty and Seventeenth Streets gate (Main Gate vicinity). The Parade will proceed west on Liberty, turn north on 19th Street, west on Tilghman to 25th Street, south on 25th Street to Liberty Street, then east on Liberty Street and disband at the Fairgrounds 19th Street gate. The annual Cinco de Mayo Festival is the premiere community fund raising event organized and conducted by the Central Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in the city of Manteca.  Funds raised from this festive event are used throughout the year for Chamber programs, such as, developing and providing local Hispanic and non-Hispanic businesses with tools, support and advocacy to help them build a stronger business future.
