With past performances by the likes of Tiesto, The String Cheese Incident and Kaskade … Electric Forest is back in a big way . “We’re thrilled to be returning to the beloved Double JJ Ranch in Rothbury, Michigan for another legendary weekend. … The Sherwood Forest, located in the heart of the festival grounds, is the pulse of Electric Forest. By day, the Sherwood Forest is a place to relax in one of the many hammocks that swing between the trees, explore the art installations sprinkled throughout the woods and meander down paths to discover plenty of surprises. At night, the Sherwood Forest comes alive! Witness the extravagant light display, stumble into surprise performances and parties in the depths of the woods, and gather with friends to enjoy the party.

There’s a palpable sense of remove from the normal life in High Sierra. Every Fourth of July weekend for 16 years, a few thousand folks have climbed above the city bustle to enjoy a temporary reprieve from the 24-hour-a-day rush below…There’s an informality and camaraderie that’s unlike any other music festival I’ve attended. You frequently find yourself sharing beers with the artists who floored you earlier in the day. The musicians seem to enjoy the atmosphere as much as the attendees, and it inspires relaxed, spontaneous performances… Musicians can whisper, tentatively bringing their soul out into the light and mountain air, and audiences hush up. It’s strikingly different than most festivals and speaks to the abiding love of music that fills this place.

Started as a touring music festival in 1991 by Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell, today Lollapalooza has become a unique music experience. Lollapalooza takes place every summer in historic Grant Park, Chicago, between the beautiful Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan. ”It’s hard to believe it’s been twenty years since Lollapalooza first took the stage with amplifiers cranked to eleven. From the early days when flannel-clad grunge rockers cleared out mosh pits for bands like Soundgarden and Pearl Jam to the present, when Arcade Fire and Kanye West draw gigantic crowds of all ages, the festival has taken on a life of its own, infused with the incredible energy of fans and the artists that rock them.

The Zoppé Family Circus welcomes guests into the intimate 500 seat tent for a one-ring circus that honors the best history of the Old-World Italian tradition. Starring Nino the clown, and featuring his son Julien, the circus is propelled by a central story (as opposed to individual acts) that feature acrobatic feats, equestrian showmanship, canine capers, clowning and plenty of audience participation. Giovanni Zoppé, the sixth-generation circus performer who plays Nino, says the show aims higher than what passes for circuses these days. “We try to touch every emotion during the show,” he says. “They’ll laugh, they’ll cry, and they’ll feel for the characters. It’s more of an event than a show.”
