The first Taiwan ROC 100 Festival will be held at the Stafford Centre (10505 Cash Road) on September 24, 2011 through September 25, 2011 to celebrate the centennial of the Republic of China. Attendees will enjoy multicultural foods and classic festival treats as well as a variety of live entertainment, including music concerts, traditional Taiwanese dances, martial arts shows, dragon dances and more! The festival even features a special area filled with moonwalks and other fun activities for children of all ages. Chicago’s Chinatown neighborhood will celebrate Chinese Independence, the 100th Anniversary of National Day in Republic of China. The parade will feature lion dances, Chinese patriots, marching bands, local school floats, and the 100 ft. mystical dragon.

On January 29, 2012, the Chinese community of the greater Washington metropolitan area is going to celebrate the “Chinese Lunar New Year 4710″ in Washington, DC Chinatown.
The Chinese consolidated Benevolent Association, an umbrella organization representing thirty Chinese-American organizations throughout the Greater Washington area will host the event. Over 40,000 are expected in attendance. The parade will also be televised to 40 million nationwide.
