The event is closed to the public. Residents only. “A Firtatious Duet in the Countryside” Is a delightful short opera of non-stop singing and dancing on the stage. It is a story of chance encounter turning into playful romance. It is a subtle amorous courtship between a boy and a girl in the countryside. A young girl playing a isit to Apricot Village asked a boy who was tending his buffalo for the direction. The boy asked the girl to sing and he sang along. Using silly nonsensical lyrics and light-hearted dancing, the two flirted and had a good time in the countryside

The story followings the heroine Cui, who divorces and then attempts to return to her husband. It is acted with total abandon, rarely seen in Kunqu performances which are generally marked by subtlety and restraint.
