This year’s Big Sur Food and Wine Festival raised $25,000 for local nonprofits, and on Wednesday, November 16th, we gave checks to the five local schools, the Henry Miller Library and the Health Center. We also gave our Culinary Scholar Erica Duarte a substantial check to cover her expenses at the Culinary Institute of America in New York. We are honored to support and endorse talented young people like Erica within our community.
This brings our total donations to the Big Sur non profits over the last three years to almost $65,000, and we are justifiably proud of our efforts. It would not have happened without the dedication, patience and considerable sweat of the committee for the festival, our throngs of volunteers, responsive sponsors, and you, our guests. Thank you!
