Chef Rick Low is the Executive Chef at the Culinary Conference Center and is an active member of: The James Beard Foundation American Culinary Federation.

The Gohan Society is hosting the “AKI MATSURI 2011”, celebrating the spirit of Japanese Chefs from New York City. On Nov. 10, join them for a food festival featuring the finest Japanese Restaurants in NYC, a variety of sake, and beer from the Brooklyn Brewery. Participating restaurants include: Morimoto, Brushstroke, Sushi-Zen, Matsuri, EN Japanese Brasserie, Blue Ribbon Sushi Brooklyn, Soba Totto, Otafuku, Curry-Ya, Wasan and Kyotofu. This is also a fundraiser to support the work and programs of The Gohan Society, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the victims of the 3/11 tsunami and earthquake in Japan.
