AsiaStore in collaboration with India based Moon River Designs present… Celebrate the Mughal Arts where artisans will be on hand to demonstrate and sell their work. Gain insight into the creative process from the artisans themselves. Feb 9th - 10th, 16th – 17th and 23rd - 24th, 12:30 – 4:00pm Artisan Demonstrations. When: Feb 23-24, 2012 : KUNDAN Jewelry by Asif A Khan Time: 12:30 - 4pm Where: AsiaStore at Asia Society 725 Park Avenue, NY Admission: Free Kundan, a method of gem setting in jewelry, by inserting gold foil between the stones and its mount. It flourished in greatly in the Mughalera as it received royal patronage with the most intricate form of Indian Gem Stone, and is the oldest form of jewelry made and worn in India, still in use.
