Celebrate Korean New Year (Sŏllal) with a day of fun-filled family activities at The Korea Society! Enjoy storytelling and show respect for elders with the New Year’s bow (sebae). Play traditional games such as tuhonori (similar to horseshoes), join a dance and sing-a-long, create kites, masks, and other crafts, and sample tasty Korean treats! In 2012, Nordic Fest will celebrate its 46th anniversary. Since 1967, over 1 1/2 million visitors from all over the world have attended our festival.
Your whole family will enjoy delicious food, traditional crafts, a colorful parade, lively entertainment, sporting events and our Saturday night fireworks display.
Events begin with Thursday night’s opening ceremonies at 6:45 p.m., followed by two full days of fun activities for the whole family.
