AlohaFest! pairs native artists from Hawaii with L.A.-based talent to give fans a night in the Islands. Sway to traditional Hawaiian rhythms and discover the contemporary “Hawaiian jazz style” introduced by the award-winning and multi-Grammy nominated star Amy Hānaiali‘i.Amy will be joined onstage by Kilohana Performing Arts Company and Halau Hula Na Meakanu O Laka O Hawaii, under the direction of Kumu Hula Rolanda Valentin-Reese.Special guests include Tini Grey, L.A. singer/songwriter and superb guitarist and the winner of the first ever Pacific Island Talent Contest.

The award-winning Halau O Lilinoe a me Na Pua Me Kealoha graces the Autry National Center with the warmth and spirit of Hawaii. From the ancient chants and movements of hula kahiko to the modern, entertaining styles of hula ‘auana, Halau O Lilinoe shares the rich culture of Hawaii in honor of its sacred land and beloved ancestry.
Come early to participate in an interactive workshop on lei making and basic hula. This is a rare opportunity to learn about and experience these two unique traditions.
