Pommard and Volnay are among the best known red wine appellations of the Cote de Beaune, but could not be more different in style and character. Volnay exudes silky elegance, while Pommard give wines with a sturdy, full-bodied character. This tasting of top producers, such as de Montille, Lafarge, Pousse d’Or and Comte Armand, will celebrate those differences as well as elucidate the nuances of different vineyards from both appellations.
