The Peace of Heart Choir formed in response to the tragedy of 9/11, with the mission of bringing people together regardless of race, religion, gender, or political party to heal through the power of music. Commemorating 10 years of singing at the Castle Clinton. The castle, originally a fortress built to keep people out; now welcomes millions in. Located at the southern tip of the island of Manhattan, Castle Clinton represents not only the growth of New York City, but the growth of a nation. First intended to keep out a British invasion in 1812, the Castle has transformed over the years to welcome theater goers, immigrants, sightseers, and now, millions of visitors to New York Harbor.
