Our visitors will enjoy handmade arts and crafts, traditional folkloric performances, and a vast variety of authentic Hispanic foods from South America, Central America, and the Caribbean. Performed by the company INTEGRO, Monstruo is a symbolic effort halfway between dance, performance and ritual, a subtle underground social critique: an offering that ultimately takes us to the depths of our being on earth; a poignant and moving synthesis. A creative nucleus founded by Oscar Naters in 1984 in Lima, Peru, INTEGRO has always been oriented towards experimentalism and integration of the arts.

Santos Perdidos is an acoustic, Latin band based in the heart of the Mission, playing an eclectic mix of Son Cubano, Rumba Española, Bolero, and Afro-Peruvian Lando. With its strong vocal harmonies and rich sound, the band’s constantly expanding repertoire includes traditional music from Cuba, Peru, Colombia, Mexico & Spain. Santos Perdidos met in the summer of 2009 in John Calloway’s Afro-Cuban Ensemble of San Francisco State University. Their first performance was at the Mission Arts & Performance Project (MAPP) in the Secret Garden. Since then the group has been leaving their mark wherever they play, from Mission local venues such as Radio Habana, Coda, El Rio, Casa Sanchez and Carnaval to venues like Birdland Jazzista Social Club, Yoshi’s and the De Young Museum.
